High Yield Money Market Account

Money market accounts are a great way to save, and often provide high interest rates compared to a standard savings account. With a money market account, your funds are not locked in for a certain term or timeframe, you can access your money easily as you need to. A money market account provides a secure way to save, as your funds are insured by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration.) 

Each month you must have at least $2,000 in aggregated deposits between you r high yield checking or your high yield savings. Deposits to the high yield money market do not count towards the $2,000 deposit requirement.

No, at this time a high yield checking account is required to open the high yield money market account. If you have an existing Suncoast Smart Checking account, you may get started by transferring your funds into a high yield checking account.

There is no minimum balance required to get the high interest rate, however there is a requirement of a minimum $1,000 to open your high yield money market account. 

If your account balance is greater than $25,000, your earnings will be 3.00% on the $24,999.99 and then you will earn 0.50% on the balance over $25,000. 

Yes, each member is limited to one high yield money market account. However, you may also open one high yield savings account to grow your earnings even further. 

For large deposits that do not need to be accessed regularly, you may want to check out one of our many share certificate (CD) products. 

While the Money Market can be linked to your Suncoast high yield checking debit card as an additional source, it cannot be used as a point of sale. This access is reserved for checking accounts.
