Suncoast debit cards are secure to use, with tap to pay and contactless features. It’s easy to lock or unlock your debit card if the card is lost or stolen.
Android Pay and Apple Pay are also available to make your life easier. These apps are easy to use, secure, and accepted in millions of stores across the country.

We Have Your Back
Since no two members' financial situations are alike, we designed a program to help protect your funds. When your account is opened, you have the option of authorizing the credit union to automatically transfer funds from your credit union savings (and, in some cases, other accounts) to prevent overdrafts. If you already have a checking account and are not sure if you have overdraft protection, simply contact the Member Care Center or visit a service center.

With SunNet Online Banking, you can easily check balances, review your history, transfer funds, pay bills and more. With the SunMobile app, you can also deposit checks* using your mobile device get push notifications about account balances, set other alerts and more.
Get Paid on Payday
With direct deposit, you can rest assured your money will arrive on time, even when you’re away. Your checks (including paychecks, social security checks, IRS tax refunds, Supplemental Security Income, retirement payments, dividends or annuity payments) will automatically be deposited into your account on payday.
Plus, with direct deposit you can divide your pay automatically among your accounts in whatever way you choose.

Overdraft protection is a free program that allows members to assign designated source accounts to serve as backup to their draft account when checks or debits are presented for more than the available balance.
Should you overdraw your account, there is a fee for insufficient funds that are both Paid Non-sufficient Funds (NSF) and/or Check/ACH debit return unpaid Items. See Fee Schedule for details.
If you can’t use another Suncoast account as overdraft protection, Suncoast offers Courtesy Pay for qualified members as protection. With this service, you won’t be charged a fee by the merchant for a returned item, but you will be charged the Suncoast Paid NSF (non-sufficient funds) fee.
If your checking account qualifies, then Suncoast will pay a limited number and type of items (checks, ACH transactions, bill pay transactions, and person-to-person P2P payments) and bring your account balance below $0 when the checking account would not otherwise have enough money to pay those items. We call this service Courtesy Pay. We notify you by mail or e-notice (based on your account preferences) when your account has been brought to a negative balance to pay item(s). Then, you must bring your account to a positive balance within 30 days. You may also opt-in for debit card purchases to be included in the items we pay with Courtesy Pay. You may opt-out of Courtesy Pay by contacting our Member Care Center at 800-999-5887, logging into SunNet Online Banking or the SunMobile app, visiting your local branch, or notifying us in writing by mailing to Suncoast Credit Union, Attn: MSS001, P.O. Box 11904, Tampa, FL 33680.
Yes. Your Suncoast card comes with Visa Account Updater (VAU), which will automatically update your cardholder data with participating merchants when your card information changes, including recurring payments and card-on-file relationships. If you wish to opt-out of Visa Account Updater, you may do one of the following: Visit your local branch Mail written request to: Suncoast Credit Union, ATM001, PO Box 11904, Tampa, FL 33680
