Suncoast Credit Union Breaks Ground on High-tech Dade City Service Center
TAMPA, Fla. (June 1, 2026) – As Pasco County’s growth accelerates, Suncoast Credit Union broke ground in late May on a new Dade City service center, furthering access to affordable products and trusted financial services in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions.
The project represents a relocation of the current Dade City branch, which will transition to the new location once construction is complete.
At 4,600 square feet, the new service center at 13274 U.S. Highway 301 will be one of the largest in the Suncoast system. It will also be the credit union’s most technologically advanced branch, featuring sound-dampening materials for greater privacy, nine enclosed offices for private member meetings and a massive 105-inch LED see-through screen separating the lobby and waiting area from the teller area.
In addition, it will offer amenities credit union members expect including competitive and first-time homebuyer mortgages, business loans, a coin machine and several walk-up/drive thru interactive teller machines.
Suncoast is incorporating environmental considerations into the project, including outfitting the building with solar panels. For every tree removed during construction, three trees will be replanted on the property.
Construction is expected to be completed by early 2027.
Suncoast leadership, local dignitaries and community members were on hand during the May 20 groundbreaking to usher in a new chapter for Suncoast Credit Union in Dade City.
“This groundbreaking has tremendous meaning for the Dade City community,” said Kevin Johnson, President and CEO of Suncoast Credit Union. “Not only does it represent a new beginning for Suncoast in Dade City, but it also represents our continued commitment to investing in the wonderful communities we serve through affordable products and our member-first mission.”
La Macchia Group, a bank and credit union design firm, is overseeing the service center project.
Suncoast Credit Union operates six other branches in Pasco County.
