Suncoast Credit Union and Tampa Bay Rays Partner To Support Local Communities Through Education and Philanthropy

TAMPA, FLA. (April 1, 2025) — Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, has partnered with the Tampa Bay Rays for “Every Hit is A Win” and “Reading with the Rays” to support nonprofits and youth, beginning March 28th, 2025, kicking off at the George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Through “Every Hit is A Win,” Suncoast Credit Union donates $79 to local nonprofits for every hit made by the Tampa Bay Rays during the regular season.  Each month during the Rays season, two of the selected nonprofits below will compete by participating in a  poll on Suncoast’s website, Suncoast.com/Rays. At the end of the term, $10,000 will be divided between the nonprofits based on the percentage of votes that each receives.

As part of the “Reading with The Rays” program, parents can pick up a game reading card for children at any local participating library or Suncoast Credit Union branch. After completing the reading challenge and reaching “home plate” children become eligible for a Suncoast Youth Savings account with up to $25 in a match deposit.

“We are proud to partner with the Tampa Bay Rays to make a positive impact across the  communities we serve” says Bob Hyde, VP Of Community Impact. “Programs like ‘Every Hit Is A Win’ and ‘Reading With The Rays’ allow us to support local nonprofits and encourage youth development in meaningful ways”.
