At Suncoast, we’re devoted to making a positive difference. Our team brings their heart to work and continue to spend their time helping others outside of work. That’s why we created the Suncoast Community Impact Awards to celebrate team members who go above and beyond for the community.

Here are the seven incredible award winners:

Carolyn Parslow LEGACY Award

Our highest honor is the Carolyn Parslow LEGACY award. This award honors a past Suncoast employee who spent almost 50 years at Suncoast. Carolyn’s thoughtfulness and dedication created the philanthropic culture that continues at Suncoast decades later.

Suncoast vice presidents nominate employees for the Carolyn Parslow LEGACY award based on their ability to stand out in the following ways:

Leads by example
Encourages and respects others
Gives through acts of kindness, volunteering, and mentoring
Applies “bring your heart to work”
Commits to always doing the right thing
You, making an impact

The winner of the Carolyn Parslow LEGACY award in 2024 was Giselle Herrera, an Assistant Service Center Manager.

Financial Education Award

Another way we empower the community is through financial presentations. Suncoast offers free financial literacy sessions to schools, organizations, and businesses to help people better manage their money and enhance financial stability.

Our volunteers spend their own time helping the community journey toward improved financial understanding. Two team members won the 2024 Financial Education Award for shining in this area. The winners were Brandon Martinez, a Personal Relationship Specialist and Kayla Melanson, a Retail Development Facilitator.

Peer Choice Award

All across our footprint, team members chose their peers for our Peer Choice awards. The winners exemplified acts of service, positive impact in the community, and superb commitment.

Our 2024 Peer Choice award winners were Barbara Gallegos, a Senior Service Center Manager, Giuseppe Pecorilli, a Director of Service Center Operations, Karina Campbell-Donaldson, a Product Owner, and Terranna Brock, an IRA Services Technician.
