Wesley Chapel Resident Wins Free Mortgage Payments for a Year

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (May 29, 2025) — Suncoast Credit Union awarded longtime member Jose Garcia of Wesley Chapel a full year of free mortgage payments as the winner of its statewide “Year of No Payments Giveaway,” where members have the chance to win either free mortgage payments, car payments, or rent for a year. Suncoast team members celebrated with Garcia and his family at the Zephyrhills branch on Thursday May 29th.

Garcia, a husband, father of two, and Suncoast member since age 11, was honored during a special presentation at the Suncoast Zephyrhills branch after being selected for the prize. “This is truly life-changing,” Garcia said. “With this support, we’ll be able to pay down debt and move toward a more secure future. I’m beyond grateful.”

The sweepstakes is open to all Suncoast members throughout Florida, with the winner receiving either their mortgage, rent or car payment paid by Suncoast for one year. Garcia, who works as a territory representative for Crocodile Cloth, has maintained a multigenerational relationship with the credit union—his grandmother was a school employee who helped open his first account. Garcia’s wife, and daughters, aged 20 and 13, are also members of the credit union.
