Suncoast Credit Union Welcomes Charlene Brooks as Economic Development Officer for Orlando 

TAMPA, FLA. (April 10, 2025) — Suncoast Credit Union announces the appointment of Charlene “Charley” Brooks as Economic Development Officer serving Central Florida and beyond. Brooks has a dynamic background in business development, marketing strategy, and community engagement.

The Economic Development Officer role is key to driving Suncoast’s vision of thriving, resilient communities across the state. Brooks will focus on creating strategic alliances that promote financial wellness, increase access to affordable financial services and support local initiatives around workforce development and small business growth.

A native Floridian, Brooks returned to Orlando in 2016 after nearly two decades in Los Angeles, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering communities. Most recently, she served as Director of Corporate Engagement at the Orlando Economic Partnership.
