Each year, many families do not receive Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) dollars that are entitled to them because they don't know how to claim the credit or don't file an income tax return. Free income tax return preparation from the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program can help with that.
For more information about the (VITA) program, such as where to find a VITA site near you, who qualifies for free tax prep and what you should bring with you to your appointment, please call 2-1-1 for your local United Way office.
MOSI Partnership
Suncoast is proud to partner with Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI)!
As a Suncoast member, you can enjoy an exclusive perk: buy one General Admission Ticket with your Suncoast debit or credit card and get a second one for FREE—redeemable for up to two free tickets per member (per visit)!
With over 40,000 square feet of exhibits and hands-on activities, MOSI is a scientific playground where our members will be able to learn about science and really experience it thanks to this new partnership!
Suncoast has also sponsored a brand-new exhibit at MOSI! The Flight Club Drone Zone Presented by Suncoast Credit Union will allow guests to fly and take control of real drones, complete challenges, race one another, and get up-close with technology that is transforming our world.
Suncoast Donates $850,000 for Hurricane Relief
When hurricanes Helene and Milton tore through Florida this past fall, residents had their lives turned upside down – Helene’s storm surge pushed floodwater into thousands of homes, Milton brought disastrous winds and tornadoes that tore apart entire neighborhoods, and so many Floridians were left devastated.
As Florida’s largest credit union, we take our role in our communities very seriously. Suncoast has always put our communities first, and we’re committed to being a positive, trusted presence in the lives of members and non-members alike.
We’re happy to announce that Suncoast has donated $850,000 across 13 nonprofits to support relief efforts across the state. Our goal is to help restore hope and rebuild lives in the face of disaster and protect schools, students, and families by getting them the resources they need to not only survive, but thrive.
In the words of our CEO, Kevin Johnson, “Our commitment reaches beyond the storm’s immediate aftermath—because we are true partners with the communities we serve.”

Introducing Magic Buckets for the Community
Last year, Suncoast expanded into Central Florida, and we’ve loved every minute of it!
We’re excited to partner with the Osceola Magic again this year to give back to local nonprofit organizations. Each month during basketball season, we’ll contribute money to a donation bucket every time the Osceola Magic scores a point. Those donations will add up throughout the month and we’ll divide the total amount, up to $5,000, between two local nonprofits at the end of each month.
And guess what? You get to participate! We’ll post a poll to our Facebook page with the two nonprofits we’re supporting each month, and your votes will determine the percentage of the donations each nonprofit receives.
