At Suncoast, giving back is part of our DNA. Our employees have a long history of volunteering in the community and making a positive difference. This is something we’ve always celebrated, so we decided to make it official with the Suncoast Community Impact Awards!

For our inaugural Community Impact Awards in 2021, six incredible Suncoast employees were recognized for the positive impact they’ve made in the community. Here is an overview of each award and the phenomenal people who earned them:

Carolyn Parslow LEGACY Award

Carolyn Parslow was a former Suncoast employee who brought her heart to work every day during her almost 50 years at Suncoast Credit Union. The kindness and caring that Carolyn brought to the organization was instrumental in creating the culture that continues at Suncoast to this day.

The legacy Carolyn left behind led us to create the Carolyn Parslow LEGACY award, our greatest honor. Vice presidents nominate employees for this award based on the following criteria:

• Leads by example
• Encourages and respects others
• Gives through acts of kindness, volunteering, and mentoring
• Applies “bring your heart to work”
• Commits to always doing the right thing
• You, making an impact

The winner of the Carolyn Parslow LEGACY award in 2021 was Donna Moses, our Lead Member Victim Advocate. Donna works tirelessly for our members, while doing a ton for the community, and being a wonderful team member.

Excellence in Financial Education Award

At Suncoast, we’re committed to helping people understand their finances and learn how to manage their money in a way that makes life easier. That’s why we offer so many free financial presentations to schools, organizations, businesses, and all throughout the community.

Our Excellence in Financial Education Award went to two employees who used their time and talent to empower and encourage audiences to improve their financial habits. The 2021 winners were Breanne Ausby, and once again, Donna Moses!

Peer Choice Award

Our final awards in 2021 were the Peer Choice awards. Four winners were chosen by their peers at Suncoast, each from a different area of Suncoast’s footprint. These Peer Choice award winners showcased exemplary acts of service, meaningful impact in the community, and a remarkable level of commitment.

Our Peer Choice award winners for 2021 were Rissa Mainwaring, Vanessa Orantes, Noelle Rivers, and Robbie Snyderman.
