2. Suncoast has more than one million members!

Our members mean everything to us, and we sure have a lot of them! More than one million people are Suncoast members, and that number continues to grow. Since our operations are driven by the needs of our members, Suncoast’s growth also brings innovation.

3. Every Suncoast member is an owner of the credit union!

As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution, Suncoast’s profits are returned to members. That’s what keeps the rates low and the returns high!

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the foundation that Suncoast is built upon. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, just like our employees. We value our differences and are proud to support the varied needs of membership.

With such a diverse team, our employees have many things in common. To help our team enhance their work environment together, all employees have the opportunity to form or join an employee resource group. Some of our employee resource groups include Black Leaders and Allies Cultivating Change, LGBTQ+ and Allies, and S.A.L.U.T.E.

6. Suncoast deeply cares about financial education!

A strong financial foundation can make life much easier. That’s why Suncoast offers so many free financial education options for our members and community. We have financial workshops available for all ages, from children through adults. Our mPower program offers free online financial education on specific subjects. We even have financial education options tailored for small business owners.

7. The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation gives college scholarships every year!

The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation gives college scholarships every year! We’re proud to help local students achieve their goals of pursuing higher education. We were founded by educators after all! Students can visit the scholarships page on our Suncoast website to learn more about our scholarship opportunities.

8. Local students run their own Suncoast branches!

Suncoast has student-run branches that operate in elementary and high schools. And Suncoast’s youth outreach team teaches financial literacy to students of all ages, from K-12 to college.

9. Suncoast receives national and local accolades each year!

Some recent accolades received include being named a Best-In-State Credit Union by Forbes and Top Workplace by the Tampa Bay Times.

10. Suncoast partners with incredible organizations throughout Florida!
