Kung fu heroes battle electronic villains in this blend of
martial arts action and
sci-fi fantasy.
Jack Tanaka (
Don "The Dragon" Wilson) is a martial arts instructor whose teenage son,
Brad (
Dan Mayid), is going through a rebellious phase and isn't getting along with his parents. But
Brad does enjoy hanging out with his grandfather,
James (
Aki Aleong), a veteran computer programmer who is experimenting with cutting-edge virtual reality technology.
James has persuaded
Brad to try out his latest project, a virtual reality fighting game called "Sci-Fighter," when a power surge causes
Brad to be drawn into the machine, where he becomes trapped in the game's frightening alternate world. With only the character of
White Dragon (
Cynthia Rothrock) willing to help him,
Brad must fend for himself in the virtual world as
Jack searches for a way to make his way into the game and rescue his son. Produced under the title
Sci-Fighter,
X-Treme Fighter also features
Lorenzo Lamas.
