The late concert violinist David Oistrakh headlines this series of two classical recitals: one from 1967, in which he performs the world premiere of Dmitri Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 2, Op. 129 with the orchestral support of the Moscow Philharmonic, and another from 1972 - a joint performance of short works by Debussy, Sibelius, Dvorak and Schubert with the accompaniment of pianist Frida Bauer.
